The current salary structure for healthcare professionals in Nigeria remains a major concern, with many facing insufficient compensation and financial insecurity. 

Despite their critical role in the healthcare system, healthcare professionals' salaries do not commensurate with their workload and expertise. 

This disparity not only hampers their quality of life but also contributes to the ongoing healthcare brain drain, as professionals seek better remuneration abroad (Japa syndrome). 

Urgent measures are necessary to address this issue, including comprehensive salary reviews, fair compensation packages, and improved working conditions to recognize the invaluable contributions of these dedicated professionals.
